  • Advanced students test their Illustrator chops by using vector icons to create a portrait or an image. The icon should
    relate directly to that persons career or what they're best know for.  Students learn more how to take BMP images and
    create vector versions of them.

  • Students get back in the groove of having fun with design by picking a historical photographic moment in time and then
    using masking and effects techniques learned in class to insert a themselves into the moment. Once done, they frame it.

PHOTOSHOP RETOUCHING

  • Students were to utilize prior knowledge and experience to retouch their own photos. One was to be as pretty as possible.
  • Students adjusted hair, eyes, skin, facial features and more to achieve what they thought beautiful is. One was to become
    as ugly as possible. Add wrinkles, acne, scars, moles and things students constitute as ugly. Third was to reverse your

  • Students chose two quotes that had personal meaning them and then created them with an emphasis on typographically.

  • Posters were printed on a wide format printer and laminated for use in class with future students.

  • Students were to choose a noun, adjective and a verb and then visually illustrate the word using type and a minimal amount
    of design elements
WORD ART (Using ChromaDepth Glasses)

  • Students fused their knowledge of typography, design and software skills to create an image entirely out of text. They also
    incorporated a color scheme into it to be used with ChromaDepth glasses, a form or 3-D glasses that brings all reds and
    yellows to the forefront while bringing blues and greens to the back, creating the illusion of 3-D depth to their images.

  • First level students were introduced to Illustrator and asked to complete a portrait. Students were asked to keep a minimal

    Design, Cubism, Impressionism, Industrial Design and Psychedelic art.
