DISTURBING DICK AND JANE (MORE TO COME)
  • Levels 1 - 5
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • The idea is to take a deeper look at Americana  themes in advertising, modern culture and educational artwork. From the
1950 - 1970's, Dick and Jane books were popular education staples which taught a few generations how to begin to read,.
They artwork often depicted an idealic,  wholesome, non-threatening look at children's lives. The project was to find some
of those images, clean them up in Photoshop and then recaption to make them a bit more disturbing (and funny).
